Emoji mode boils a One Piece character down to eight emojis picked for that character alone: a power, a weapon, an animal, a place, a personality trait. The first one is visible straight away, the rest appear one at a time with every wrong guess, over eight tries.
The order changes daily. All eight emojis are shuffled by the seed of the day, so the same character never unfolds in the same order and the most telling emoji can land first or last.
No emoji is there for decoration. Colored dots standing in for hair color are ruled out, unless the color is the character identity. A single crew never shares a whole block of emojis, which stops the guessing going in circles among its members.
After three mistakes, an optional hint reveals the arc the character first appeared in, for part of the score. The eighth and final try is therefore played with the full set in view.
Eight, all different. Only one is visible at the start, the rest appear one at a time with every mistake.
As a rule, no. A colored dot is only kept when the color is the character identity, like the red of Shanks or the magma of Akainu.
No, it is shuffled daily. The same character coming up on two different dates will not unfold in the same order.
